Montemarcello Natural Park is a protected area located on the Ligurian coast in the province of La Spezia, overlooking the Gulf of Lerici. The park covers an area of about 3,000 hectares, including a section of the Apennine mountain range and a series of coastal coves where beaches with crystal clear water can be found.

The territory of the park extends from the municipality of Ameglia to the extreme point of Caprione, including the hill of Montemarcello, the beaches of Punta Corvo and Fiumaretta and the mouth of the river Magra.

The landscape of the park is characterized by a combination of mountains, hills, Mediterranean forests, meadows and beaches, offering a wide variety of flora and fauna.

• Sentiero del Pescatore: this coastal path, about 7 km long, starts in Lerici and follows the coast up to the Fiascherino beach, passing through hidden beaches and panoramic bays where you can dive for a swim in its crystalline waters.
• Sentiero di Tellaro: starting from the enchanting village of Tellaro, it follows the coast up to the beach of Fiascherino, passing through historic villages and elegant villas. The route is about 4 km long and offers a panoramic view of the sea, Portovenere and the islands of Palmaria and Tino.
• Monte Caprione: this excursion starts in Montemarcello and takes visitors to the top of Monte Caprione, from which you can admire a beautiful panoramic view of the coast and the Apuan Alps. The route, about 8 km long, requires good physical preparation.

Inside the park there is no shortage of horseback excursions that offer the opportunity to explore the paths and landscapes of the region in a different way.

The park is surrounded by the sea and for this you can rent canoes to take a ride along the coast, exploring hidden beaches and coves or dive into its blue waters rich in marine life where there are many areas for snorkeling, where you can admire the colorful fish and aquatic plants. Then there is the relax on the beach where you can chill and enjoy the sun and the sea perhaps after an excursion along the many paths present.
